• A joint venture, the company is the Japanese affiliate of the U.S. firm Bruce Clay, Inc., a leading player in the search engine optimization (SEO) business.
• Endowed with a keen sense of ethics, it is involved in SEO and pay-per-click (PPC) "listing ads" for overseas global websites.
• It is characterized by possession of SEO tools of its own development and capabilities to implement SEO effective for multilingual websites displaying information not only in Japanese but also in English, Chinese, and other languages. It furnishes consultation services to marketing firms making full use of the Internet, such as overseas exporters, electronic commerce (EC) enterprises, and travel agencies.
• Japanese firms tend to be lagging behind in SEO measures, and rate only 20 or 30 on a scale of 100 in that aspect according to the presenter. The SEO market apparently has ample margin for expansion. Also stressed is not the ranking but a more effective presentation on websites.

• Yokohama BioResearch & Supply (YBRS)'s main business is supply of protein reagents for drug discovery research and contract production of genetically modified protein for both non-clinical and clinical testing. YBRS also does related research.
• In the Leading Venture Plaza in Yokohama's Tsurumi Ward, YBRS has set up an office, start-up laboratory, and facilities in preparation for opening a business establishment of its own. It is currently handling small-scale contract production and meeting needs in areas such as joint research.

• In the bio field, attention is shifting from small molecule to biopharmaceuticals (biologicals) capable of attacking specific targets. As such, the company's business is on the trend.
