Aiba Products CO., LTD.
Established in April 1989 Capital stock: 155 million yen
http://www.villbo.co.jp/ (Japanese)
- Aiba Products completed construction of a plant for production of the world's first high-luminosity dispersed inorganic EL sheet (1,700 x 1,500 mm) to meet needs in the age of ultra-large high-luminosity thin light-emitting sheet. It is opening up a new market by bringing together a diversity of elements, including high-performance facilities, quality assurance facilities, environmental facilities, sophisticated elements, printing technology, ideas, design, and patent strategy.
- The key features of this EL sheet are high luminosity (at least 400 cd per square meter), flexibility due to its thinness and light weight, low energy requirement, and ability for installation anywhere. As a result, it facilitates the creation of new designs. It opens up boundless possibilities in the fields of panel and design light emission taking full advantage of these features.
- The company's main business is in printing and surface processing for polycarbonate and acryl resins (for mobile phone components such as key-top panels and buttons), and the high-luminosity inorganic EL is a new business.
- It will be interesting to see how inorganic EL, a new type of illumination module, will evolve on the product level. EL could enable customers to light up the roofs of their cars and otherwise make effective use of limited space for illumination. As such, it could become a familiar light source in widespread use.
- The company also exhibited some of its products at the venue (see the photo on the lower of the photo of the representative). It is looking for partners for capital tie-up, alliance, and sales.
