The activities of ECO COSMO are keyed by the following four concepts: 1) inorganic, 2) water-soluble, 3) safe/hazard-free, and 4) environment-friendly.
It has developed and sells products including rust removers, "Boothmente-kun," a booth cleaner and paint remover; "Daichi-no-Kaze," an agent for interior-use earthen wall that absorbs carbon dioxide; and "Rokufuka," for greening rooftops and parking lots.
Mr. Kagoroku profiled new products as well as existing ones and talked about his plans to mount a campaign for eradication of unauthorized stickers and graffiti with the approach of 2009, when Yokohama will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the opening its port to trade with the West.
ECO COSMO is seeking funding sources and referral to prospective business partners and human resources, and wants to widen its sales network.

According to Mr. Terada, its advantage lies in solutions that are easy to handle, can be read with a reliability of nearly 100 percent, and are ready for use on the very next business day.
It is looking for partners for alliance and expansion of sales channels.

QB5 Inc.

QB5 is engaged in business aimed at improving labor productivity in Japan. It develops and sells ASP services for time management, and also offers services of consultation for higher productivity.
Drawing on know-how it acquired as a system outsourcer, it constructs general-purpose systems. Applying mobile phone QR codes, its job management system is the first of its kind in Japan and has been adopted by the three carriers NTT DoCoMo, Au, and SOFTBANK. The system enables time management in niche markets where job management could not be achieved before.
Ms. Morisaku said that the company's system has made it possible to conduct job management with mobile phones since this February. It is very convenient to apprehend when and where employees come and go in real time.
The company's wants are funding, business partners, personnel referrals, alliance partners, and expanded sales routes.
