Business Plan Presentations held on June 11 , 2008 at IWASAKI GAKUEN in Yokohama.
Global Multimedia Systems Inc.
Established in June 2004 Capital stock: 55.655 million yen http://www.gdm2.com/
GDM2 developed the world's first transceiver with a multi-function capability tapping the standard mobile signals and Internet infrastructure utilized across the globe.
Its application is exemplified by inventory management at remote facilities and by digital signage. The company provides profit-making business models to global venue firms. Because the transceiver operation can be completely controlled at remote centers, it entails virtually no labor cost. The company is consequently able to devise business models offering unprecedently high rates of return. It has already contracted with a major U.S. venue firm for management of inventory of magazines, both free and for sale. In this connection, it is promoting a plan for business models that include display of advertising and generate profit for both the venue firm and GDM2.
At present, GDM2 is making preparations for installation of the multi-function transceivers on mini billboards in leading U.S. supermarkets and shopping malls.
It has good prospects for business development in the global market, and is looking for funding sources and management-class personnel.
BeMoOve Established in July 2007 Capital stock: 27 million yen http://www.bemoove.jp/(Japanese)
BeMoOve is engaged in three businesses revolving around a motion video distribution system developed through use of open source software and open APIs: conception, development, and sales of 1) Bemove Video, an ASP service for motion video distribution to corporations; 2) Bemove Live, a portal site for live motion video distribution (including provision of billing and settlement capabilities); and 3) package software such as CDs and DVDs containing live footage of highly popular artists appearing in Bemove Live programs (on its own label, Bemove Record).
Its unique style of development enables Bemove to offer high-quality (H.264 complied) motion video distribution that is given high marks by its users for ease of use and prices only 1/4 - 1/5th as high as the competitors. Its service has been adopted by the marines.tV of Chiba Lotte Marines, the professional baseball team, whose fans can use it to view motion video digests of games and footage of various events.
Bemove is planning for finance and looking for business partners, human resource referrals, alliance partners, and sales channels.
Mr. Yasushi Ito, President
FONS co., ltd. Established in December 2001 Capital stock:144 million yen http://www.fons-jp.com/(Japanese)
Under its Fons Detoxer Series brand, the company sells multifunction jell cream products that deliver landmark effects not available from ordinary skin care cream. These products have been given high marks by cosmetics buyers for their efficacy, and are garnering an increasing number of users.
The multifunction character enables the creation of products directed to specific fields, such as fitness and dance. The series also provides physical relief for the aged.
The production is outsourced, but Fons holds and distributes the basic manufacturing recipes and some of the materials. The products are sold over the counter at more than 70 stores nationwide, including all Tokyu Hands and Rosemary locations. Mail-order sales were launched by Senshukai Co. last October. At present, the company is making efforts to devise additional products for the line-up, promote sales through the Internet, and develop direct sales through a mail-order website of its own. Word about Fons products rapidly spread due to reports that they are used by a coach for the pressurization training whose devotees include top model Norika Fujiwara. The line is also said to be effective when used in massages to relieve lymph gland pain and shoulder stiffness.
The company is hoping to find partners for business and alliance as well as funding.
An R&D-oriented firm, Eamex is engaged in research and development of polymer actuators and development of a wide range of mechanism and device products applying these actuators in joint work with clients.
The actuators represent a completely new type of light-weight, energy-saving drive device based on motion by the polymers themselves at low voltage.
Recently, the company developed an innovative lens mechanism enabling adjustment of the focus distance of mobile phone cameras by changing the thickness of the jell silicon, and has begun shipping samples. As compared to the conventional ones, the new mechanism has less parts and a simpler structure. It is consequently smaller and helps to lower the product price.
The company is currently involved in R&D of ion-conduction actuators, electrically conductive polymer actuators, and sensor and capacitor technology, as well as applied development of artificial muscles (for use in nursing apparatus, muscle aids, and rehabilitation equipment, for example).
The insides of mobile phones are steadily becoming smaller, and all entrants are apparently locked in competition over size reduction. Eamex has succeeded in size reduction down to 7.5 mm, the smallest in the industry.
With the president's confident assertion of his company's capabilities when it comes to making things smaller, he is looking for alliance partners, additional sales channels, and finance.
