“2007 TSUNAMI Venture Fair” Keynote Address |
||
New Years Greetings for 2007! Hoping it will be a prosperous year for you. You are welcome to attend the “2007 Tsunami Venture Fair” in Yokohama, Japan commencing with Keynote Address by Mr. Nobuo Okubo, Former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Nissan Motors, followed by a gala New Year’s Business Card Exchange Party, on the Evening of Wednesday, January 31, 2007. The topic of Mr. Okubo’s address (in Japanese) will be “The Present and Future of Car Electronics”. (Please note: English translation will not be provided.) The evening event, followed by several days (until 2nd Feb.) of technical booth displays (featuring about 30 booths) by promising local tech ventures will be held at the Pacifico Yokohama Hall in Yokohama’s MM21 District. The deadline to apply to attend is 26th January and the details are below. Venture Support Organization, "TSUNAMI ” is an exciting venture support organization based on local government and private industry co-operation formed in 2000 in Yokohama and led by the Japanese private-sector. Its objective is to promote R&D-oriented ventures, backed by the cluster of R&D resources in Kanagawa (a prefecture with its capital city Yokohama located in the west of Tokyo Metropolis). A combination of local government, industry and academia make this possible. Long term goals center on the eventual establishment of the Japanese version of a “Silicon Valley type” of ecosystem through planning and operation of the venture support organization "TSUNAMI". TNP continues to create variety of ecosystems for venture support and has already succeeded in bringing about 12 successful IPO’s. |
