

Historical Background
Tracing its root to the Kanagawa Venture Club, which was a support organization
based on public-private partnership, “TSUNAMI” was a new organization
established in August 2000, for venture business assistance under private-sector
leadership.
Bringing together like-minded Japanese companies under the banner of discovering
and nurturing venture companies to position Kanagawa's future, "TSUNAMI"
is ushering in a new age within the prefecture through collaboration with
universities and government.
“"TSUNAMI”" promotes valuable collaboration and networking
among government, industry, and academia based on efficient and ongoing
discovery and cultivation of growth-oriented venture companies, such strategic
activity will bring greater economic vitality to Kanagawa Prefecture. It
intends to heighten the benefit of close coordination with the Local Area
Platform, a scheme of comprehensive support prepared by the Prefectural
Government.
More specifically, “TSUNAMI” furnishes various venues for coming
in contact with promising Japanese venture companies that deserve assistance.
It also sizes up individual projects, ensures a proper input of resources,
and follows developments on a continuous basis.
Other services include matching companies with other supporting members,business
referrals to our prospective client base and "angels," and priority
assistance in both the financial and management aspects for tasks such
as constructing sales channels.

TSUNAMI Entrepreneurs’ Club
In promoting entrepreneurs, we viewed successful template of such as organizations TiECon and AAMA and creating this club to pursue the same mission. It is also increasingly important to have a wide spectrum of viewpoints in the midst of accelerated globalization and informatization, by networking and open mind communications.
TSUNAMI Entrepreneurs’ Club was established in January 2005, as an arm of Venture Support Organization “"TSUNAMI"” to provide a networking place and to facilitate open-minded communications for the benefit of entrepreneurs.
The club members include top management of established companies, academics, professionals, in addition to entrepreneurs of emerging Japanese companies.
